Isa's Restoratives Comfrey Healing Balm is a waterless heal-all balm, concentrated in anti-inflammatory ingredients to help naturally jump start the skin's own healing process. A staple to have in all well-kept houses.

For Face & Body, this truly soothing formula calms inflammation, extreme sensitivity, allergies, any irritation, swelling, occasional sun burns, cuts, scraps (not on open wounds!), stings or diaper rash... with only 6 carefully chosen ingredients.

Ideal for all skin types it is moisturising and non-comedogenic, making it suitable even for oily or combination skins. Fragrance free, sensitive and young skins will enjoy it without reserve.

On a base of cold-pressed Grapeseed oil, a light, antioxidant and balancing oil, vitamin-rich Comfrey cools the skin, boosts cellular regeneration and speed up healing up to 50%, helped by anti-inflammatory & regenerative St John's Worth oil.

Calendula & Lavender, both deep wound healing heroes as well, add their anti-bacterial, nourishing and anti-inflammatory properties to the formula, while Beeswax protects and purifies.

Strongly antioxidant & cooling, the Comfrey Healing Balm leaves the skin feeling comfortable and relaxed, troubles soon forgotten.

Isa is the heart and mind behind her namesake plant-based skincare that is Isa's Restoratives.
Growing up in Brazil's widespread countryside, Isa has been using folk medicine from a very young age and knows the benefits and effects of pure plants on skin and mind.
Now living in Brooklyn, she embarked on a journey back to find again pure, fresh plant formulas. Working with scientists and herbalists from around the world, she studied plant properties in a scientific manner, loving to know the chemistry of it all, at the base of formulating truly restorative products.

With a mind focused on sustainability, Isa uses mainly locally grown and mindfully harvested, privileging on plants that are very abundant in her area, like Wild rose, Violet, Mugwort, Comfrey, Chickweed... When purchasing, she works of course with trusted suppliers, often local or small businesses and even grows some of the plants in her own garden.

Producing in small batches to insure freshness and attention to details, Isa is happy to gift her creations to us in sleek and gorgeous packaging you'll love to reuse.

What to do in case the balm melted ?

First rest assured, it is in no way ruined or less efficient. A change in texture does not affect the product performance. Now that you are reassured...

To restore it to the texture you love:
- if it is still liquid, place the whole jar in the fridge overnight. Et voilà!
- if it solidified again at room temperature leaving white grains (see note below *) and you prefer the original texture, place the closed jar in water-bath of low simmering water to allow the balm to melt slowly (do not heat to a boil, and do not allow water to get into the jar). Then place the slightly cooled jar and melted balm in the fridge overnight. Et voilà (again)!

* note on white grains forming in the balms: they are simply solid lipids. They melt at the touch and heat of your skin, and there is absolutely nothing wrong or bad with them. It doesn't affect the balm performance.
